<p>In a recent chat on Kunickaa Sadanand's YouTube channel, Kim Sharma opened up about her journey and the unexpected path that led her to Mohabbatein.</p>
<p>She recounted a critical moment during her audition when Karan Johar expressed doubt about her potential, candidly telling her, "You don't know how to dance or deliver dialogues; why do you want to become a heroine?"</p>
<p>Kim revealed that her entry into the film industry was serendipitous. She was spotted by the Yash Raj Films team in a commercial, which led them to contact her mother.</p>
<p>Unaware of Kim's passion and frequent travels, her mother initially rejected the offer. It was only when YRF approached Kim directly that she decided to seize the opportunity.</p>
<p>Her road to securing the role in Mohabbatein involved multiple auditions. After initial rounds with Nikkhil Advani and then Karan Johar, it was her third audition with Aditya Chopra that sealed the deal. Kim reflected on this journey as a moment of coming full circle, as she now works for Karan&rsquo;s organization.</p>
<p>Despite landing a leading role alongside iconic stars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, Kim admitted that her parents did not even congratulate her, and the magnitude of the opportunity only dawned on her much later.</p>

<p>"I met Amrita or Dingy, as the loved ones call her, when I was just 12 years old. She did a film for my father, Yash Johar, called Duniya in 1984, and I remember the energy and grace she had. But what I remember the most is the warmest Chinese dinner with her after our first meeting," Karan reminisced.</p>
<p>He also shared how he met Saif for the first time and noted how Saif's charm reminded him of Ibrahim&rsquo;s suave and charismatic personality.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"Films are in their blood, their genes and their passion," Johar added, expressing his admiration for the family's contribution to the entertainment industry.</p>

I push in so much work in the day that I don&rsquo;t think about that status. That&rsquo;s what we all do when you&rsquo;re single, you&rsquo;re lonely and you&rsquo;re perhaps not wanting to address that loneliness. You pack in your day with things because you want to distract yourself from the core. Then you believe that if you have great friendships and a great family life, it can actually compensate for the lack of a passionate intense romantic relationship. Nothing can replace that,' he said at an event.</p>
<p>'Life is full of boxes &ndash; parents fill one, children fill the other, friends fill the other. But there&rsquo;s a box for an intense love romantic relationship that if you don&rsquo;t experience there is a sense of incompleteness that nothing can ever fulfill.' That loneliness can actually really kind of consume you and it has consumed me.</p>
<p>He admitted, 'I have not been in a relationship for very many years. I know what that really feels like. Fortunately, I can live vicariously through cinema. I can create those stories, and characters that perhaps that I would like to either romantically be inclined with or just fulfill that part of love and romance in my life. He said, "I would like to apologise to Karan (Johar) sir. First of all, whatever impersonation I do because I watch a lot of Karan Johar on the coffee show, I am a fan of his work. I have seen his latest film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani 5 to 6 times. I am a huge fan of his work and his show. If my actions hurt him, I would like to apologise to him. My intention was not to hurt him. I just wanted to entertain audience but if I did something extra, I would like to say sorry to him."&nbsp;</p>
<p>The comedian further added that Johar likely did not watch the full episode and said that he would like to see the reactions of people and Karan Johar after watching the episode. &nbsp;</p>
