On that note, let us explore what guidelines ICMR has laid down for sugar consumption in adults and children.

What did Karan Johar say?

I want him to be happy and carefree because he is a happy child. But I can see the genetic... I can’t call it a flaw, I get it from my mom and I know he’s getting it from me," Karan said on The Faye D’Souza Show.

He also revealed to the audience that once he told Yash that he has put on weight but immediately regretted it. "I went into my room and said, ‘Why did you do this?’ Then I went outside, hugged him, and said, ‘I’m really sorry, please eat what you want’,” Karan shared.

The Indian Council of Medical Research and the National Institute of Nutrition or NIN have released revised National Dietary Guidelines for Indians, which state that children up to two years of age should be kept away from sugar, limiting the daily intake of calories from sugar to only 5 per cent.
