Arvind Sawant, a Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, also defended Kamra, stating that everything said in the comedian's special, "Naya Bharat," accurately reflects the opposition's allegations.
Drawing parallels to the past, Sawant cited Balasaheb Thackeray's legacy as a cartoonist who often satirized political figures, suggesting that such freedom of expression is a cornerstone of democracy.
Sawant called for strict action against those involved in vandalizing the Habitat Comedy Club in Khar, Mumbai, urging that an FIR should be registered against the perpetrators. "Can't they handle criticism?" he questioned.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi condemned the vandalism as a sign of increasing intolerance. "This kind of behavior shows a troubling lack of tolerance. Instead of engaging in hooliganism, they could file a police complaint if they disagree," Chaturvedi told ANI.
She noted the irony of the reaction, as Kamra's joke didn't even explicitly name Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, hinting that the response underscores the truth in Kamra's remarks.
The incident escalated at the Habitat Comedy Club when members of the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) youth wing disrupted a live performance, causing significant damage.

Veteran actor Jaya Bachchan recently spoke about the pay parity issues existing in different fields. In the latest episode of Navya Naveli Nanda&rsquo;s podcast &lsquo;What The Hell Navya&rsquo;, she talked about how the issue of pay parity exists and cited examples of athletes.&nbsp;
 Navya said, &lsquo;In sports, female athletes are not paid as much as male athletes. It has happened in NBA and Tennis.&rsquo; Her mother Shweta Bachchan reacted to it and termed these practices &lsquo;extremely unfair&rsquo;. She mentioned that this problem is surviving because people are not standing up against it.&nbsp;
 Actor Jaya Bachchan too expressed her thoughts on the topic and said that the reason behind pay disparity is insecurity in men. She told, &lsquo;It is the insecurity of a man who is sitting at the head of it. He is insecure, which is why he feels it is easier to put a woman down - in every field and in every way. It is an outcome of that kind of mindset.
 &lsquo;For centuries women have never stood up for themselves. There are exceptions, but now it's changing the younger generation it's changing and it's also because mothers are realising that my daughter and my son are as good as each other,&rsquo; Jaya further added.
 Jaya further mentioned, &lsquo;Educated women also have double standards, which is so sad. Sometimes I want to say it but do not feel good about saying it, but sometimes women are their own enemies. Of course, it's also the father's responsibility.&rsquo;

Kajol and Jaya Bachchan&rsquo;s cute banter at a Durga Puja pandal has caught everyone's attention.

Durga Puja festivities are on in full swing and like every year, Bollywood celebrities are visiting pandals in Mumbai to seek divine blessings. On Monday, Kajol, Ranbir Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan and Rani Mukerji came together at a Durga Puja pandal in the city where they posed for pictures. &nbsp;Several pictures and videos of the actors from the Ashtami celebration are doing rounds on social media. However, one of the clips featuring Kajol and Jaya Bachchan caught everyone&rsquo;s attention for their cute banter. In the clip, Kajol is seen urging the veteran actor to remove her mask, and asking her to show her face while posing for the paparazzi. Jaya eventually removes her mask and the two are seen sharing a laugh.

On Sunday, Kajol shared a video of her son Yug seen serving food to the devotees at the pandal as she walked besides him.
On the work front, Kajol will next be seen in &lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo; which is set to release on December 9, 2022. The actor will also make her OTT debut with the Indian adaptation of the American series &lsquo;The Good Wife&rsquo; which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
