Soon after watching the film, netizens flooded Twitter with their review. A majority of the audience has enjoyed the film and are showering praises on Kartik for acing the role. However, there are a few who found the film &lsquo;predictable&rsquo;.

Actor Kartik Aaryan delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022 with &lsquo;Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2&rsquo; which reportedly did a business of over Rs 180 crore at the box office. Recently, during the promotion of his forthcoming film &lsquo;Freddy&rsquo;, Kartik talked about his film&rsquo;s success and also voiced his opinion on the North vs South debate.
Speaking with Koimoi, <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/freddy-kartik-aaryan-became-loner-on-the-sets-of-the-film-here-s-why-1669705667101">Kartik</a> said that more than being about North vs South, the discussion should be about good films working at the theatres. He said one cannot say that south films work better just because &lsquo;four films&rsquo; manage to earn big amounts at the ticket booth.
&lsquo;It&rsquo;s all about good films working. It&rsquo;s an Indian film which works or does not work. This discussion has been going on for a long time and now the lines have become blurred. Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 did great numbers,&rsquo; he said.
He added, &lsquo;They do not talk about the films that do not work, but in this North vs South, they highlight only those that worked. Chaar filmein hongi jo chali hongi actual mein.. (there must be only four films that would have worked), but they highlight as if it&rsquo;s a race going on.&rsquo;

Actor Kartik Aaryan, who is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film 'Freddy', opened up about being a 'loner' on the sets of the film and mentioned how it was difficult for him to get out of the character.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' star talked about the film&rsquo;s preparations and said, 'I have worked on the smallest of details of this character. I even had visited a dentist to learn about their profession and also when you start behaving like a character, things do happen to you in a similar way then.'
Speaking about being in a dark space after the film&rsquo;s shoot, he said, 'I had heard about it from other actors and had read about it too. I did go through it. I won&rsquo;t lie about it. I was someone who liked to spend a lot of time with his family and friends, but after Freddy, I had become a loner for a while.'
He added that it was difficult for him to get out of his character as he wasn't himself and wasn&rsquo;t even chirpy on the sets.&nbsp;
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Alaya F. It is all set to release on December 2 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

In an interview with Bollywood life, Jay revealed why they chose to take the OTT route, rather than releasing the film in theatres, and shut down rumours of producer Ekta Kapoor being miffed.
&lsquo;The thing is we started work on Freddy last year, and always had an OTT release in mind. Yes, after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 a lot of people questioned us on why we are not bringing Freddy on the big screen. But the film has been designed for OTT from day one. We never planned to bring it on a big screen,&rsquo; he said.
The producer also praised Kartik and said, &lsquo;Working with him is a dream. He is a thorough professional, and he is all there for a film. It is a treat and delight to work with him.&rsquo; He added, &lsquo;I went to him with Freddy because he does so many comedies. Celebrity fitness trainer Samir Jaura, who worked with Kartik through this transformation, told Hindustan Times, &lsquo;Kartik is someone with a genetically lean body. So, when he was required to gain around 14 kilos for Freddy, we knew it was going to be a task. But, his dedication is next level! He was able to achieve the look well in time, following disciplined routine workouts and the right diet plan. Putting on kilos requires a well supervised process, because it is not just simply the shredding of muscles or getting ripped. He has done a fantastic job and the look came perfectly for the film.&rsquo;
Kartik too talked about his role in the movie and said that &lsquo;Freddy&rsquo; has been one of the most interesting and surprising scripts that he has ever read.
&lsquo;When I saw that I would also be required to gain weight for the role, among other preparations, I just wasn&rsquo;t able to worry in that moment because I was so excited to play this character. And it was quite difficult, trying to put on so much weight altogether. But, under Samir&rsquo;s training, we achieved the goal in time and gladly, the entire team loved the final look,&rsquo; Kartik Aaryan told Hindustan Times.
