The writer said that when they got the news that 'Rocketry' had been selected for Cannes, they had mixed emotions—they were nervous, excited, and shocked all at once. It was a beautiful moment nevertheless. She recalled that Madhavan called her and she responded, in surprise, to him, that it was a dream come true.
Sukhmani went on to say that the response to the film has been great and she was super nervous while flying to Cannes. The film is Madhavan's brainchild, and she is a small part of the team, but still feels privileged to have her project at Cannes.
'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, who was a former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). He was accused of espionage. R Madhavan will be seen playing the titular role in the film. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English languages.

75th Cannes Film Festival is currently being held in French Riviera from May 17 to May 28. India has been announced as the ‘country of honour’ at the Cannes Film Market. Besides this, there are six Indian films that will be screened at the prestigious festival. Take a look:

The film stars Vikram Gokhale, Neena Kulkarni and Jitendra Joshi in important roles. 'Godavari' was appreciated for its storyline and has been screened at several film festivals in India.
3) Alpha Beta Gamma (Hindi)Helmed by debutant Shankar Srikumar, 'Alpha Beta Gamma' stars Nishan Nanaiah, Amit Kumar Vashisth, and Reena Aggarwal in pivotal roles. Deepika Padukone’s fashion game is definitely strong at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The actor looked bewitching in a black and gold Louis Vuitton ensemble with smoky eyes and her hair neatly pulled back.

Deepika Padukone&rsquo;s fashion game is definitely strong at this year&rsquo;s Cannes Film Festival. The actor looked bewitching in a black and gold Louis Vuitton ensemble with smoky eyes and her hair neatly pulled back.
Deepika, who is part of the jury this year, shared the pictures of her red carpet look on her Instagram handle. She is the first Indian brand ambassador of Louis Vuitton, the French luxury house.
Earlier in the day, the &lsquo;Piku&rsquo; actor shared pictures of her exploring the streets of Cannes in a floral outfit. Her post left her fans in awe of her look.
Deepika wore a custom-made orange ensemble by Ashi Studio, paired with jewelry from Farah Khan World, for her previous red carpet appearance. He wanted to showcase the diversity of India while also keeping the French Riviera setup in mind. He instantly decided to create an amalgamation of French and Indian cuisine. &nbsp;

His varied menu included canapes, vada pav with toasted French brioche buns, duck confit galouti kababs, keema biryani and jackfruit samosas. Some more interesting and mouth-watering dishes by the chef included Achari asparagus and baingan ka bharta in tart shells.&nbsp;
The menu for the inaugural dinner, the appetizers included pyaz ki kachori in croissant pastry while the main course&nbsp;included lal maas lamb medallion, which was served with a risotto-like dal and ker sangri.
