The chemistry between lead actors alongwith it's music contributed immensely to its popularity.
Bobby Deol hinted about a sequel to 'Soldier,' expressing his desire for Taurani to pursue it. Taurani, who recently released the sequel to 'Ishq Vishk' titled 'Ishq Vishk Rebound,' has now confirmed exclusively to News18 Showsha that the sequel to 'Soldier' is in work. 'We&rsquo;re definitely making a sequel to Soldier. We will begin shooting for the film next year,' he disclosed.
Regarding the cast for 'Soldier 2,' Taurani mentioned that they haven't finalised anything yet. 'We aren&rsquo;t sure about the cast yet. Depends on how the story shapes, we will take a call on whether Bobby and Preity will be a part of it,' he stated.
Reflecting on Preity Zinta's entry into Bollywood through 'Soldier,' Taurani recalled, 'We had signed her for 'Kya Kehnaa' first but its release got delayed. During its production, 'Soldier,' which was a major project for us, started filming, and we ended up casting her in that too.'
Explaining the delay Taurani revealed, 'Soldier' was ready by April 1998, and we initially planned to release it in August. However, we also owned the music rights for another Bobby Deol film, 'Kareeb,' produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. We decided to release 'Kareeb' earlier to avoid conflict.'
He emphasised the strategic planning involved in managing multiple film releases, 'We were concerned about the impact on both films if trailers and promotions clashed. Releasing both in the same month wasn't feasible, hence 'Kareeb' was prioritised.'
In a previous interview, Bobby Deol had hinted at the sequel, mentioning, 'It&rsquo;s been a long time! Maybe after 'Animal,' Ramesh ji, will think of making 'Soldier' part two with me.'

Bobby said, &lsquo;That&rsquo;s the most important thing for an actor. I meet young kids and I keep telling them that you&rsquo;ve to really be prepared. Like my sons, they want to be actors, and I keep telling them ki first apni Hindi theek karo. Hindi theek se nahi bolte kyuki aadat nahi hai na. Sab angrezi bolte hain ek doosre se (They are not used to talking in Hindi, they all talk to each other in English). Actor Bobby Deol&rsquo;s first look in the upcoming film &lsquo;Animal&rsquo; has created quite a buzz on the internet. Now, at the Jagran Film Festival, the actor opened up about his role in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial and teased that he is definitely 'eating something' in the last shot of the teaser.
Talking about working in &lsquo;Animal&rsquo;, Bobby said, &lsquo;I was really lucky that I got to be a part of Animal, I have loved Sandeep&rsquo;s work. He is the only director who has made the same film twice and succeeded both the times. I want to do different characters and as I have said before, I want to break my image, get challenged and be very uncomfortable as an actor.&rsquo;
About that viral teaser shot
Bobby added, &lsquo;When I did that shot, I didn&rsquo;t even see the monitor. We were in a hurry to finish that moment. I saw the shot for the first time when I saw the teaser and I was like, &lsquo;What? This is me!&rsquo; I am so glad about the response I have got for this one shot. It just shows that the audience wants to see me in something different. They want to know what I am doing in that shot&ndash; I can&rsquo;t tell you that, but I am definitely eating something&rsquo;.

Actor Bobby Deol has confirmed that his sons Aryaman and Dharam will get into the field of acting as well in a recent interview. He said he wants them to lead a normal life and not be distracted by the glamour. The actor said, 'That's why we (Deols) are like that. That's how I was raised. Also my boys are shy and don't want to be photographed.'
He added, 'They will become actors. They're studying... I'm very proud of my son's graduation from New York University. He has worked tirelessly to educate himself,' Bobby Deol told the Hindustan Times.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor said that stardom does not last too long.&nbsp;
'Stardom doesn&rsquo;t last too long. I was a star once, and it died, it vanished. No one took me seriously as an actor. I knew I had the potential, and the capabilities but nobody had given me an opportunity. I had chosen work which didn&rsquo;t work for me so things went the other way around. So, I tried working on that and worked on myself as an actor,' Deol said&nbsp;
He added &lsquo;I knew that, if I fall, my parents will always be the cushion. But the fall hurts no matter how much cushion they gave me. As an individual guy, I had to stand up. No one can make or break you.'
Talking about acceptance, the &lsquo;Houseful 4&rsquo; actor said, &lsquo;In a society everybody goes through the issue of being accepted and being understood. But human beings are selfish. There is a time when everybody wants you and there will be a time when nobody wants you. I have been through that and I gave up. I fought back and I realised that I have to make them (people) want me. How do I do that? By being a positive energy. Everyone needs to try to keep that positive energy. It is very difficult to do that. (But) I have been through it. There are weak moments in a day itself. I&rsquo;m feeling absolutely happy, then during the middle of the day I feel weak and then at night, I&rsquo;m happy. We all go through it.&rsquo;

In an interview with News18, Bobby Deol said, &lsquo;I&rsquo;m in awe of my father, who never fails to amaze me with his work ethic and passion for acting. Even at the age of 87, he continues to sign good movies, and seeing him in action is truly inspiring. He has been working tirelessly since he was just 10 or 12 years old, and I&rsquo;ve never seen anyone else with such dedication and drive. It&rsquo;s truly remarkable to witness this.&rsquo;
Bobby who is all ready for his next &lsquo;Apne 2&rsquo; talked about father-son relationship. He said, &lsquo;In my opinion, a father should always be respected as a father and there are certain boundaries that should not be crossed. However, as we grow older and our parents also age, the dynamics of our relationship may shift and we may feel more comfortable communicating and expressing ourselves to them. This is a natural progression that occurs in most families.&rsquo;

Recently, the actor in a candid chat with Pinkvilla praised his father-actor Dharmendra's acting talent and said he found his idol at home only.  He said, ‘I have got my idol at home. He is the only actor to succeed in all genres of cinema and he has never shied away from exploring different roles. Be it ‘Satyakam’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Pratigya’, ‘Phool Aur Phattar’ or ‘Anupama’ – he has done it all. I wish I was an active actor in his era.’
Talking about how films were different when Dharmendra was at the peak of his career. He added, ‘My dad used to shoot for many films in a day - from one set to the other. Imagine, how good the writer and directors were, that the actor could stick to their characters. They had no written scripts, it was just based on narrations. We have bound scripts in today’s time, but they are not close to what was done back in the day. I always keep thinking… I wish I was in that era.’
