Reports added that bundles of cash were found stuffed in cartons and wardrobes at Jain's house.
Piyush Jain is close to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and his brother is a Samajwadi Party leader.
Jain is the same person,who had recently launched Samajwadi Perfume, which was unveiled by Akhilesh Yadav.
Raids were also conducted at various offices of Jain across Mumbai, UP and Gujarat, reports said.
Jain hails from UP's Kannauj and has several companies and show rooms. He also reportedly have businesses in Middle East.

The Yadav clan got split in the middle as Akhilesh Yadav held reins of the party and challenged Uncle Raj.&nbsp;

Akhilesh today is the lone star campaigner for his party. With elections around the corner, he can do with some support at the organisational level and in picking candidates. Shivpal is a veteran in that area.
Also a look at the last Assembly election results show that Shivpal's candidates led to a loss of around 30 seats for SP.&nbsp;

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday accused Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of getting his telephones tapped and listening to the conversation every evening.
Yadav made the allegation while dubbing Adityanath as the most “anupyogi’ (useless) chief minister and seeking to counter Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s poll formula “UP+Yogi=Upyogi”, aimed at asserting the utility of the Adityanath government for UP's growth.
Yadav also promised to get conducted a caste-based census, if voted to power in UP.
On Akhilesh Yadav's remark, terming Chief Minister Adityanath as "unupyogi" (useless), BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh asked how can lodging Azam Khan and Mukhtar Ansari in jail and running bulldozer on Atiq Ahmad's illegal property be "unupyogi".
He asked voters to vote in the name of (Narendra) Modi and Yogi (Adityanath) and advised them not to consider caste, religion, region or money power while exercising their franchise.
A day after a string of Income Tax Department’s raids and searches at some SP leaders’ offices and residences, Yadav, while talking to reporters, also alleged that wary of its impending defeat in the upcoming assembly elections, the BJP government would be misusing various enforcement agencies more and more to persecute SP leaders in days to come.
"All our telephonic conversations have been heard. This 'anupyogi' chief minister himself listens to the recordings of some people every evening," Yadav alleged.
He also asked reporters to “remain alert, if you are speaking to me" and alleged that the Yogi government is running a WhatsApp University in the state.
The entire country knows that whenever the BJP is about to lose an election in any state, the frequency of the misuse of various enforcement agencies by the BJP rises, UP former Chief Minister Yadav alleged.
"The BJP is following the Congress’ way. Like the Congress, it is rearing to use the central agencies to instil fear (in rival political parties),” said Yadav.
“Seeing the atmosphere in the state, I can say that the Yogi government will not last. The people have made up their mind for a 'yogya' (able) government,” said Yadav.
“No government could be more 'anupyogi' (useless) than this government, It has ruined Uttar Pradesh," he asserted.
Yadav also attributed the recent visits of chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of the 12 BJP-ruled states to various places in UP, including Varanasi and Ayodhya, to the saffron party’s alleged fears of impending defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.

Rakesh Tikait left Delhi's Ghazipur border on Wednesday after the year-long farmers' protest amid a sea of supporters. He was welcomed and cheered by farmers all along the way to his village in Western UP.
There has been speculation that Tikait might contest the UP polls as his popularity has soared immensely during the protests and after the govt's surrender on farm laws. Tikait emerged as the face of the farmers protests against the now-repealed farm laws.
Akhilesh Yadan on Wednesday invited Tikait to contest election on SP ticket. He stated that SP will welcome Tikait if he wishes to contest with the party.
Rakesh Tikait has had some disastrous poll outing in the past. He contested the 2007 UP Assembly elections from the Khatauli seat with Congress support – only to finish a distant sixth.

For example, it is without contention, that a place like Ayodhya, the seat of spirituality on the banks of the Saryu river is talked about more for its political importance than theological reasons
Since the 1980s, Ayodhya has remained a pivot in UP politics and polls. For the BJP, since its resolution in 1989 to construct a Ram Mandir at the site of Babri Masjid, Ayodhya remained the focal point of its poll campaigns in the years after the Babri Masjid demolition. It slipped into a footnote in the late 2000s as the law of diminishing returns kicked in

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday asserted that the people wearing red caps, a trademark headgear of his party members, are “red alerts” also for the BJP as they will oust it from the power in the next UP assembly polls.
Yadav made the retort soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a dig at the Samajwadi Party, said in Gorakhpur that those wearing red caps are after red beacon and are a red alert to Uttar Pradesh.
Reacting to Prime Minister Modi’s dig at his party, Akhilesh too, in a tweet in Hindi, listed some “red alerts for the BJP”.
“For the BJP, there is a red alert of inflation, of unemployment, of the bad plight of farmers and labourers, of Hathras and Lakhimpur Kheri (incidents) of the oppression of women and youths, of a destroyed education system, business and health, besides the red cap, which will oust the BJP from power,” said former UP chief minister in his tweet.
"There will be an 'inquilab' (revolution) of red and change in 2022," he added.
The Samajwadi Party also came out with a song exalting their 'laal topi' to counter the PM's barbs.
Addressing a public meeting in Gorakhpur earlier after dedicating to the country three megaprojects, including an AIIMS and a fertiliser plant, Modi said, "Today, the entire UP very well knows that those wearing red caps are concerned about red beacon ('laal batti') and they are not bothered about your pain and sorrows." "The red cap people want the power to commit scams, fill their coffers, indulge in illegal grabbing (of resources) and to give complete freedom to the mafia," he said.
"The red cap people want to form the government to show favour to terrorists and to free them from jail. Hence, you should remember that those wearing red caps are red alert for UP, in other words, alarm bells," Modi said.

A look at how Bundelkhand has voted in the past:
In&nbsp;2012, BSP won&nbsp;7,&nbsp;SP got 5, Congress 4 and&nbsp;BJP&nbsp;3 of the 19 seats.
But it all changed in 2014, when BJP swept all 4 Lok Sabha seats
In the 2017 Assembly polls. BJP won all 19 seats
In 2019 again, BJP swept all 4 Lok Sabha seats
BJP worked hard to turn Bundelkhand on to its side.
Before the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP&rsquo;s &lsquo;Mission Bundelkhand&rsquo; from Mahoba with a &lsquo;parivartan rally&rsquo; in October 2016.
This was the first time a prime minister was visiting Mahoba, an extremely backward district in the region. The strategy worked and in 2017 the BJP swept all 19 seats in Bundelkhand.
Recognising how crucial the region was, CM Yogi Adityanath formed the Bundelkhand Development Board in February 2019.
So, can the BJP retain its hard-fought stronghold or do the crowds at Akhilesh's rallies signal a change?
Samajwadi Party is trying hard to convert the region red this time after it turned totally saffron from Blue in the last election.
Akhilesh's&nbsp;Mission Bundelkhand is powered by some high-profile picking from Mayawati's BSP.
Several BSP leaders have joined SP:
Tilak Chand Ahirwar, who was very close to Maya, is now with SP
Kushwaha leader Madhusudan Kushwaha has also moved to the SP from BSP
Brother of former BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui, who was an all-powerful minister in the Maya govt, has also joined SP
A few from Congress have also jumped to the SP side.
But crowds at rallies cannot be a sure shot parametre for votes. Tejashwi Yadav also drew huge crowds in BIhar 2020 polls and so did PM Modi and Amit Shah in Bengal 2021.
