WhatsApp data leak: Phone numbers of 500 million users are up for sale

CyberNews reports that the phone numbers of approximately 500 million WhatsApp users were exposed in a data breach and are now being sold on a well-known hacking forum.

The database includes information from 84 countries, including approximately 60 lakh records from India. The leaked database is for sale for $7,000.
