Google CEO Sundar Pichai believes that conversational AI will boost the search engine's capabilities amid growing competition from Meta, Microsoft, and others. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Pichai confirmed that Google is looking to integrate large language models (LLMs) into Google Search, but he did not provide a timeline. Pichai dismissed concerns that chatbots could threaten Google's search capabilities. The announcement follows the launch of Google's rival to OpenAI's ChatGPT called Bard. Microsoft recently integrated ChatGPT into Bing giving it an edge over Google Search. However, Pichai's comments offer hope for Google's future.
