Sony India has announced the introduction of two new wireless microphones, the ECM-W3 Wireless Microphone and the ECM-W3S Wireless Microphone. Aimed at enhancing audio quality for video content creators, these microphones boast advanced features and portability.

Features and Specifications of ECM-W3 Wireless Microphone

The ECM-W3 Wireless Microphone is equipped with a two-channel receiver and includes two microphones. Designed for use in interviews and one-on-one conversations, this model ensures clear sound pickup while effectively reducing noise, making it ideal for professional use.

It features a noise-cut filter that reduces harsh noise and a low-cut filter to minimize low-frequency noise such as wind and air conditioning. Additionally, the included windscreen further improves sound clarity by reducing interference from strong wind or breath hitting the microphone.

Compatible with Sony cameras equipped with the Multi-Interface (MI) shoe, this microphone allows direct digital audio recording with minimal noise interference. It also supports USB Type-C terminals and 3.5mm audio output, providing versatility for use with various devices including smartphones, PCs, and cameras. The ECM-W3 utilizes Bluetooth 5.3 technology, ensuring low power consumption, low latency, and high sound quality.

Features and Specifications of ECM-W3S Wireless Microphone

The ECM-W3S Wireless Microphone includes a one-channel receiver and one microphone, specifically designed for vloggers and content creators who need to capture clear and articulate voices. It shares similar features with the ECM-W3, such as noise-cut and low-cut filters to ensure clear sound pickup by reducing harsh and low-frequency noise.

The windscreen included with the ECM-W3S enhances sound clarity by minimizing interference from strong wind or breath. It is compatible with Sony cameras equipped with the MI shoe for direct digital audio recording with minimal noise interference. The ECM-W3S also features USB Type-C terminals and 3.5mm audio output, ensuring versatile connectivity with a range of devices. Bluetooth 5.3 technology in this microphone ensures low power consumption, low latency, and high sound quality.

Portability and Design of Sony Compact Wireless Microphone

Designed for portability, the ECM-W3 and ECM-W3S are compact and lightweight. The ECM-W3 measures 25.0mm x 52.5mm x 20.5mm and weighs only 17g, while the receiver measures 32.0mm x 29.0mm x 50.0mm and weighs 25g. These dimensions make them easy to carry and use in various shooting scenarios.

The microphones are dustproof and moisture-proof, ensuring durability for outdoor use. They come with a portable charging case, allowing for easy recharging on the go. With a full charge, the microphones can be used continuously for up to six hours.
