Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 Slim, the latest iteration of its flagship gaming console, will be available at a reduced price as part of the Sony Summer Sale in India.

This move comes as part of the Sony Summer Sale and offers a substantial discount to consumers looking to buy PS5 Slim. The promotional discount is set to make the PS5 Slim more accessible to gamers across India.

PS5 Slim Price and Availability

During the sale period, the PS5 Slim price will be slashed from Rs 54,990 to Rs 49,990. This PS5 Slim discount represents a Rs 5,000 reduction and will be applicable from May 1 until May 14 or until stocks are exhausted.

The discount applies to two specific models of the PS5 Slim: SKU codes CFI-2008A01 and CFI-2008B01. Both these versions come with a disc drive. Sony has not announced any price reduction for the digital version of the PS5 Slim, which remains priced at Rs 45,990.

Shoppers can find this deal on platforms such as Amazon, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating retailers.

PS5 Slim Specifications & Features

The PlayStation 5 Slim is designed to be 30 percent smaller and 25 percent lighter than its predecessor, the original PS5. It offers 1TB of internal storage, with the ability to expand via external SSDs. This model retains the high performance of the standard PS5, despite its reduced size. Moreover, the PS5 Slim includes two USB Type-C ports and comes with a glossy finish on the top panel, while the bottom panel features a matte finish.

Included in the box is a horizontal stand for the PS5 Slim. Notably, a vertical stand is available but must be purchased separately. For those interested in a disc-less setup, the digital version of the PS5 Slim removes the bulge and the disc drive, providing a sleeker profile.

The sale does not include the vertical stand for the PS5 Slim, which is sold separately. Unlike the previous model, which included a versatile stand for both vertical and horizontal placement, the new version includes only a horizontal stand in the box.
