Oppo Reno 8 Pro be powered by a Dimensity 8100 Max chipset

The Reno 8 series will see significant improvements in terms of processing power when compared to Reno 7 series.

Oppo has officially revealed that its upcoming Reno 8 Pro will be powered by a 5nm Dimensity 8100 Max SoC. It is claimed to be 12 percent faster and 50 percent more energy efficient than Reno 7 Pro’s Dimensity 1200 SoC.

On the other hand, the standard Reno 8 will use a Dimensity 1300 chip, which is 40 percent faster and 20 percent more efficient than its predecessor’s Dimensity 900 chipset.

Oppo has also revealed that both phones will support 80W fast charging and will receive 2 major android updates along with 4 years of security updates.

For improved image, the Reno 8 Pro will have Oppo's own Marisilicon X NPU.

The business has partnered with Sony to develop RGBW pixel array technology, which will be utilised on Sony's 50MP IMX766 camera sensor.

Oppo further claims that its AI employs algorithms that produce genuine Indian skin tones and even produces Bokeh Portrait Videos.

The Reno 8 series will launch in India on July 18.
