Xiaomi Teases New Smartphone with "Cinematic Vision"

Xiaomi shared a teaser on its official X account, hinting at a new smartphone launch. The teaser prominently features the term "Cinematic Vision," with "Ci" and "Vi" highlighted in red. The teaser's focus on "Cinematic Vision" strongly suggests the debut of a Civi series smartphone in India. This connection is drawn from the highlighted letters, "Ci" and "Vi," in the teaser, aligning with the Civi branding.

Additionally, the teaser takes a dig at Apple's recent iPad Pro ad, which featured creative tools being crushed by an industrial crusher. Xiaomi's teaser humorously suggests that no creativity was harmed, further hinting at the innovative features of the upcoming smartphone.

Reports Hint at Xiaomi 14 Civi's Imminent Launch in India

Recent reports have also indicated Xiaomi's plans to launch a new smartphone in the Rs. 50,000 price range in India. This comes via Anuj Sharma, CMO at Xiaomi India who shared the information with Gadgets 360.

This upcoming device is likely the Xiaomi 14 Civi, potentially a rebranded version of the Civi 4 Pro. According to popular tipster Kacper Skrzypek, Xiaomi will soon introduce the Xiaomi 14 Civi in India, which further supports the speculation.

Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Launched in China

The Civi 4 Pro was launched in China in March 2024, marking it as the latest in the Civi series. This smartphone features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and offers Leica-branded triple rear cameras.

The Civi 4 Pro boasts a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, ensuring durability.

  • Performance

Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, the Civi 4 Pro offers high performance with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

  • Camera System

The Civi 4 Pro features a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, it sports dual 32-megapixel cameras, providing both wide and ultrawide options.

  • Battery and Charging

The smartphone is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.

Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support. The Civi 4 Pro runs on Android 14-based HyperOS.
