Samsung has announced a significant milestone with record-breaking pre-orders for its sixth-generation foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, in India. In the first 24 hours, pre-orders surged by 40% compared to the previous generation, making the new Z series the most successful foldables in India to date.

This surge in pre-orders reflects the growing popularity of foldable smartphones in India. According to Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of MX Business at Samsung India, "The 1.4x growth in pre-orders for the new foldable smartphones shows that Indian consumers are among the fastest adopters of new technology." This achievement underscores Samsung's leadership in the premium segment of the Indian market and highlights the increasing demand for innovative mobile devices.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 Features and Specifications

The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 are designed with enhanced durability and advanced technology. Both models feature a symmetrical design with straight edges, making them the slimmest and lightest foldables in the Galaxy Z series. Constructed with Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, these devices offer improved durability.

Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, delivering top-tier CPU, GPU, and NPU performance optimized for AI processing and enhanced graphics.

Galaxy Z Fold6 includes various AI-powered features such as Note Assist, Composer, Sketch to image, Interpreter, Photo Assist, and Instant Slow-mo, enhancing productivity. It also has a 1.6x larger vapor chamber for extended gaming sessions and supports ray tracing for life-like graphics on its 7.6-inch display, which offers up to 2,600 nits brightness.

The Galaxy Z Flip6 boasts new customization and creativity features, utilizing a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow for AI-assisted functions without opening the device. The FlexCam now includes Auto Zoom, which optimizes framing by detecting subjects and adjusting the zoom. Its camera system features a 50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-wide sensors, providing clear and detailed photos, with AI zoom capabilities up to 10x. The Flip6 also includes improved battery life and a vapor chamber for the first time.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 starts at Rs 164,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The Galaxy Z Flip6 is priced at Rs 109,999 for the same configuration.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 Availability

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 began on July 10, 2024, in India, along with the global launch. These smartphones will be available for sale starting July 24, 2024. Both models are manufactured at Samsung’s Noida factory in India.

Customers who pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 can avail themselves of several benefits. Samsung offers an Rs 8,000 cashback on HDFC Bank cards and a 9-month no-cost EMI option or an Upgrade Bonus of Rs 8,000 with up to 9 months no-cost EMI. Existing Samsung flagship smartphone users can opt for an upgrade bonus of Rs 15,000.

Additionally, pre-order customers will receive Galaxy Z Assurance, providing two screen/parts replacements at Rs 999. Buyers of the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 can also enjoy up to 35% off on the newly launched Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, and Galaxy Buds3 series.

Other Details Announced by Samsung

Alongside the foldable smartphones, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch7, and Galaxy Buds3 series. The Galaxy Watch7 is priced starting at Rs 29,999, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra costs Rs 59,999. The Galaxy Buds3 is available for Rs 14,999, and the Galaxy Buds3 Pro is priced at Rs 19,999.

Pre-order customers for the Galaxy Watch7 will receive a multi-bank cashback worth Rs 8,000 or an upgrade bonus worth Rs 8,000. Those pre-ordering the Galaxy Watch Ultra will get a cashback worth Rs 10,000 or an upgrade bonus of the same amount. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro come with cashback or upgrade bonuses worth Rs 4,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively.
