Realme 12 Pro, Realme 12 Pro Plus first impression: Best mid-range smartphones? Check specs, price

The Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G have officially landed in india, capturing the spotlight with their compelling features.

The Realme 12 Pro price in India starts at ₹25,999, while the Realme 12 Pro Plus price in India starts at ₹29,999.

Let's take a quick dive into the highlights of these latest additions to the realme family, and find out what makes them contenders in the bustling smartphone market.

Starting with the cameras, both phones are pretty solid. The Realme 12 Pro has a brand new 32MP telephoto Sony IMX 709 sensor, which should help get clearer shots in most lighting conditions.

The 47mm portrait lens is a nice touch for those professional-looking portraits, and with 2x optical zoom and 4x lossless zoom, you're getting closer to the action without losing any detail.

The Realme 12 Pro Plus takes it a step further with its 64MP periscope telephoto lens, adding 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom into the mix, alongside a 50MP Sony IMX 890 main camera, an 8mp ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie camera up front.

Both phones also elevate the photography experience with cinematic flairs, thanks to filters inspired by oscar-winning cinematographer Claudia Miranda.

Now, let’s talk design because these phones are turning heads. Inspired by luxury watches, thanks to a collab with the renowned watchmaker Olivier Savéo, we're talking golden fluted bezels, sunburst dials, and premium vegan leather that feels as good as it looks.

And let's not forget about those colours - the Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige are just oozing sophistication.

The display on these devices is equally compelling, featuring a 120Hz curved vision display that promises smooth and vibrant visuals. Enhanced by eye protection certifications, these screens are designed for comfort during prolonged use.

Performance is robust across both models, with the Realme 12 Pro powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and the Pro Plus version stepping it up with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.

Supported by 67W Supervooc charging and a 5,000 mAh battery, these phones are set up for extended use without frequent charging interruptions.

Software enhancements in Realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14, offer a user-friendly experience with features like file dock and phonelink that streamline content management and device integration.

All in all, the Realme 12 Pro 5G and Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G are packing a lot into their sleek designs, from their impressive camera setups and luxury design elements to top-notch performance and smart software features.

They're definitely setting the bar high! But hang tight for our deep dive reviews of both smartphones dropping soon on Editorji. We'll get into all the nitty-gritty details to see if they really live up to the hype.
