Leading chipmaker, Qualcomm, is gearing up for the launch of its latest offering: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. A leak from a tipster indicates promising performance stats for the chip, setting high expectations for the devices it will power.

Performance Metrics on AnTuTu:

A tipster, known as Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo, shared the AnTuTu score of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Impressively, the chipset achieved a score of 2 million points, showing a significant increase from its predecessor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which garnered 1.6 million points.

GPU Performance Insights:

Delving deeper into its performance on AnTuTu, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 AnTuTu GPU score stood at 840k points. This score reveals a substantial 40% enhancement in the GPU test compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Speculation suggests that the inclusion of the new Adreno 750 GPU in the chipset is the primary contributor to this remarkable advancement.

CPU Score Analysis:

Regarding CPU performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU performance achieved a score of 440k points, marking a moderate 15.7% improvement over the previous generation. The chipset used in this benchmark was equipped with LPDDR5T RAM, which is known for its faster capabilities compared to LPDDR5X. However, it remains uncertain which type of RAM the commercial version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will feature.
