Poco X6 and X6 Pro confirmed for India launch: Check expected pricing, specs and more

The Poco X6 series, including the Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro, is set to launch in India. This series is the successor to the Poco X5 series. What's special about it is that it will be the first in India to have the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC. This article provides an overview of what to expect from this new series.

Anticipated Launch in India

Poco has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the Poco X6 series is coming to India soon. The exact India launch date isn't given yet, but it's likely to be in January, judging from the teasers released. Flipkart also has a webpage dedicated to this launch, indicating it might be the main seller.

Poco X6 Pro Pricing (expected)

While the exact Poco X6 series India launch date remains undisclosed, the pricing strategy is generating excitement. The Redmi K70E's starting price in China of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB model hints at a competitive and attractive price range for the X6 Pro in India.

Poco X6 series Specifications (expected)

The anticipated POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro, expected to be rebranded versions of Redmi smartphones, come with a host of impressive specifications.

Both models are predicted to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display, boasting a 1.5K resolution. They are likely to support 12-bit color depth and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, a peak brightness level of 1,800 nits is expected for enhanced visibility.

The POCO X6 Pro is slated to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, offering robust performance. On the other hand, the standard POCO X6 might come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, ensuring efficient and smooth operation.

For photography, the POCO X6 Pro is anticipated to feature a high-resolution 200MP primary camera, complemented by an 8MP secondary sensor and a 2MP triplet. It also includes a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The standard POCO X6, in contrast, is expected to have a 64MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor, along with a 16MP front camera.

Users can expect up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a maximum of 512GB internal storage, catering to various storage needs and ensuring smooth multitasking.

Both models are likely to run on Android 14, featuring the HyperOS custom skin. This combination promises an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

The POCO X6 Pro is speculated to have a 5,500mAh battery, supported by 90W fast wired charging technology for rapid power-ups. The standard POCO X6 might come with a slightly smaller 5,100mAh battery but still offer fast charging capabilities at 67W.
