OnePlus Open, the brand's debut foldable phone, was initially anticipated to be unveiled on August 29. However, a new report from a reliable tipster suggests a delay in the launch timeline.

The reason behind the delay is attributed to a change in the phone's screen production plan. Originally planned to use a BOE panel, OnePlus is now reportedly testing the foldable device with display panels from Samsung.

The OnePlus Open is rumored to sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, accompanied by 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

While tipster Max Jambor had previously hinted at the August 29 launch date, the alteration in the display manufacturing is said to have caused the postponement.

OnePlus has yet to officially confirm the exact launch schedule for the OnePlus Open, and it is advisable to treat these details with caution until an official announcement is made.

The OnePlus Open has been the subject of various leaks and rumors recently, with speculations pointing towards a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED inner display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED cover screen boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. It may be available in black and green color options.
