Ahead of the first sale, OnePlus has released a software update to address certain issues and enhance the user experience.

OnePlus Open specifications

The OnePlus Open features a 7.82-inch Flexi-fluid AMOLED panel with a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. It also boasts a 6.31-inch Super Fluid AMOLED cover screen with a 10-120 Hz dynamic refresh rate.

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. It offers an impressive 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 ROM for storage.

The smartphone runs on a 4,805mAh Dual-cell battery, which supports fast charging with OnePlus' 67W SUPERVOOC Charging.

In terms of camera capabilities, the OnePlus Open sports a 48 MP main camera with an f/1.7 Sony LYT-T808 lens.

The primary sensor supports optical image stabilisation (OIS), HDR, and EIS. Additionally, it features a 48 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 64 MP telephoto lens, providing users with versatile photography options.

One of the appealing aspects of the OnePlus Open is its commitment to software updates. It comes with a promise of four years of Android operating system updates and five years of security patches.

OnePlus Open price and launch offers

The OnePlus Open is priced at ₹1,39,999 for the 16 GB RAM and 512GB storage variant.

The smartphone is currently available for pre-order, and the first sale of the device will commence today.

To sweeten the deal, OnePlus is offering an instant discount of ₹5,000 on ICICI Bank and One Card transactions for OnePlus Open customers.

Additionally, the company is providing a ₹8,000 trade-in bonus on the exchange of select smartphones, enabling customers to upgrade more affordably.

Interested buyers can purchase the device from OnePlus’ official retail channels, Amazon India and Reliance Digital.

Competition with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5

The OnePlus Open enters the competitive foldable smartphone segment, directly challenging the established champion, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Interestingly, both devices are equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and are similarly priced. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts at ₹1,54,999 for the 256GB storage variant.
