One UI 6 with Android 14 is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S23 series

Samsung has rolled out the One UI 6 update for its Galaxy S23 series. The update brings aesthetic refinements, including a fresh font and icons. Moreover, the inclusion of the "Studio" video player and Quick Panel modifications amplifies the user experience.

One UI 6 with Android 14 is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S23 series

Samsung has finally released the One UI 6 update with Android 14 for the Galaxy S23 series, just two days before the end of October. The update brings a number of new features and improvements, including a new design, a new video editor, and a smarter Airplane mode.

Samsung Galaxy S23 gets Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update

The One UI 6 update is about 3 GB in size. It is packed with many improvements, aiming to make the user experience smoother and more intuitive.

If you own a Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Ultra, or Galaxy S23 Plus, you might want to keep an eye out for this update.

Redefined Aesthetics

The user interface has been refined. There's a fresh default font and newly designed icons. These visual tweaks also extend to the icon labels. Moreover, users can now modify the lock screen clock, either enlarging its display or changing its position.

Quick Panel Changes

The Quick Panel, which users often pull down from the top of their screen, has seen some reorganization. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth buttons are now prominently placed at the top.

The brightness slider, which was earlier in the middle, has found a new home at the bottom of this panel.

New Video Player in One UI 6

One UI 6 brings forth the Studio video player. To access this, users should head to their Gallery app and enable it. This video player provides editing capabilities, but currently, it supports up to FHD quality videos only.

Additional Features

Samsung has infused this update with several other features. The weather widget has a new look. Samsung Health, an app for wellness and fitness tracking, has been updated with a sleeker design.

Interestingly, the Airplane mode now allows Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to stay on, a change from its traditional functionality. Lastly, in the settings menu, the Battery section is now conveniently placed next to the Display settings.

Update Availability

Samsung plans to make the One UI 6 update available to a broader range of devices soon. If you're using a Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Ultra, or Galaxy S23 Plus, the update should be coming your way shortly. After this, other Samsung devices are expected to join the list.

Wrap Up

Samsung's One UI 6 update, combined with Android 14, aims to deliver a refreshing and improved user experience.

Whether it's the aesthetic changes, the new video player, or the functional tweaks, Samsung seems committed to enhancing the user experience for its Galaxy S23 series users.

It will be interesting to see how these updates are received by the users and how it will shape the future updates from the tech giant.
