Nokia G42 5G launched: Check price in India, sale date, specifications

The Nokia G42 5G has been launched in India.

In line with Nokia's commitment to sustainability, the Nokia G42 5G features a back cover made from 65% recycled materials.

HMD Global also claims that the G42 5G has undergone extensive testing, including drop tests on 14 sides, corners, edges, and faces.

Starting from September 15, the Nokia G42 5G will be available in So Grey and So Purple colours exclusively on Amazon.in. It is priced at ₹12,599 for the single 6GB + 128GB variant.

Nokia G42 5G Specifications

It is equipped with a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz display. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 480+ SoC that’s coupled with 6GB of RAM and an additional 5GB of virtual RAM.

The smartphone features a 50MP main camera paired with two 2MP depth and macro sensors at the back. The device also offers an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.

The Nokia G42 5G comes pre-installed with Android 13, the latest version of the operating system. HMD Global promises two years of operating system upgrades and three years of security updates.

With a powerful 5000mAh battery, the Nokia G42 5G boasts up to a claimed three days of usage on a single charge.

When it does come time to recharge, the device supports 20W fast charging. The package also includes a soft case and a 20W charger.

The Nokia G42 5G supports 5G SA/NSA and dual 4G VoLTE, ensuring high-speed internet connectivity for a seamless browsing and streaming experience.

It also offers various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou.

Additionally, the device includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure and convenient unlocking and a 3.5mm audio jack for traditional headphone connectivity.
