New Apple iPhone 15 Series: Leaks, launch date, prices, colours, designs, features and specifications

Apple is planning to release four new iPhones in 2023, two 6.1-inch models and two 6.7-inch models.

The standard 6.1-inch iPhone will be called the iPhone 15, and the larger 6.7-inch model will be called the iPhone 15 Plus. The two higher-end models will be the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

All four models are expected to enter mass production in August, and Apple plans to build around 84 million of them in the second half of 2023.

iPhone 15 Series new colour option

Apple is rumoured to release two new colours for the iPhone 15 series: Crimson for the iPhone 15 Pro and Green for the standard iPhone 15.

The Crimson colour will be lighter than the existing purple colour for the iPhone 14 Pro, while the Green colour will be similar to the green colour of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11.

iPhone 15 Series Price

Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to see a price increase of around $200 or ₹16,000 in India.

The price hike is attributed to the use of the latest Apple A17 Bionic chip, which is based on the 3nm process. The standard and Plus models, on the other hand, are expected to use the A16 Bionic chip.

The new fabrication process used by TSMC has increased the cost of the upcoming iPhone 15 phones.

iPhone 15 Series launch date

Apple typically releases new iPhones in September, and this year is no exception. The company is planning to launch four new models, including the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

If Apple follows its usual pattern, the iPhone 15 could be released in the first week of September 2023.

Apple iPhone 15 Series specifications

Apple is rumoured to make several changes to the iPhone 15, including switching to a USB-C port, using a new image sensor, and integrating the proximity sensor into the Dynamic Island area.

The USB-C port is expected to enable faster charging speeds on the iPhone 15 models. The new image sensor will have a doubled saturation signal to capture more light, making it useful for portrait and night photography modes.

The 48MP camera introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro could also make its way to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

The proximity sensor will be integrated into the Dynamic Island area, which is the cutout at the top of the display that houses the front camera and Face ID sensors.

This change is expected to make the iPhone 15 thinner and more durable.
