Leaked: iPhone 16 might sport larger displays, no physical buttons, and AI Camera features

Ahead of the iPhone 16 launch, here's what the latest leaks and rumors speculate about the features of the iPhone 16 featuring vertical camera layout, thinner bezels, larger displays, cameras with AI features and more.

Leaked: iPhone 16 might sport larger displays, no physical buttons, and AI Camera features

The iPhone 16 is all set for launch in Fall 2024. As usual, ahead of the launch, rumors and speculations are rife about its possible features and specs.

In the latest news, information shared by various sources, including Sonny Dickson and MacRumors, has given us a sneak peek into what Apple may have in store for its next flagship device.

iPhone 16 Design and Features

Recent leaks have shown that the iPhone 16 design may feature a new layout for its camera system. Unlike the diagonal arrangement seen in earlier models, the iPhone 16 camera layout could be vertical, facilitating advanced spatial video capture capabilities. This was highlighted in images shared by Sonny Dickson and reported by MacRumors.

iPhone 16 Changes to Display and Design

A notable shift may be seen in the physical build of the devices, where the iPhone 16 Pro size increase is anticipated.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to sport larger screens, measuring 6.3 and 6.9 inches respectively, as opposed to their predecessors' 6.1 and 6.7 inches.

This increase in size is purportedly achieved through a novel "Border Reduction Structure" (BRS) technology, aimed at reducing the bezel size to provide a more immersive viewing experience.

With the adoption of BRS technology, the Pro models are set to offer a sleeker design by significantly slimming down the bezels, which would make the display appear larger and more engaging.

iPhone 16 New Button Design

Another groundbreaking development could be the transition to a no physical buttons design. A report from Asia's Economic Daily News suggests that Apple may replace traditional mechanical buttons with capacitive ones.

These new buttons would use haptic feedback technology to simulate the tactile response of pressing a button, enhancing user interaction without actual physical buttons.

iPhone 16 Changes to Camera and Hardware

The iPhone 16 vertical camera design is not the only upgrade expected; the iPhone 16 AI camera features are also anticipated to be a major selling point. These features, enabled by advancements in iOS 18, are expected to leverage artificial intelligence for superior photography and videography capabilities.

Furthermore, the inclusion of an iPhone 16 capture button on the Pro models could bring significant changes to how users interact with the camera app, allowing for quicker and more convenient photo and video capture.

Each of these updates has been sourced from leaks and reports by well-regarded tech outlets like MacRumors and contributions from leakers such as Sonny Dickson. As the expected launch date in September approaches, these features highlight Apple’s plans about its flagship product line.
