Krafton has announced Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 with registrations now live. The tournament begins of April 4th with The Grind, followed by BGIS 2024 to be held in May. Details of format, prize pool, new scoring system and more have been shared.

Krafton has officially opened registration for the 2024 Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS). BGIS 2024 will mark the first official tournament of Krafton’s popular battle royale Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) to be held in 2024.

Details of the format, schedule, prize pool as well as new changes to be implemented to the scoring rules, have been shared. Here’s all you need to know.

BGIS 2024: Tournament Format and Dates

BGIS 2024 begins on April 4th with The Grind which will last till April 28.It is the initiating stage featuring invited teams vying for coveted spots in the main tournament.

From the 256 teams invited, the Top 64 get to qualify to BGIS 2024.

The main BGIS 2024 event is scheduled to kick off on May 2nd, with the Grand Finals wrapping it up on May 26th. It includes in-game qualifiers open to all eligible players, followed by several competitive rounds and semi-finals.

Teams who narrowly miss direct qualification have a second chance through a Wildcard Entry stage.

The culmination of the tournament will be the LAN-based Grand Finals, a 3-day event where the top 16 teams battle for the BGIS 2024 title.

BGIS 2024 Scoring Changes and Prize Pool

Krafton has implemented a new 10-point scoring system designed to incentivize aggressive gameplay and create even more exciting matches. Teams finishing in the top positions will receive the highest points, with points decreasing incrementally for lower placements.

Additionally, the BGIS 2024 tournament boasts a substantial prize pool of ₹2 crore, with significant rewards distributed among the top-placing teams throughout the competition.

The Champions trophy comes with a cash prize of INR 60 lakh, while the runners-up will take home INR 30 lakhs.

How to Register for BGIS 2024

Interested players who wish to participate in BGIS 2024, need to visit the official Krafton India Esports website to register themselves. The registration form available needs to be submitted with required details ensuring you meet the eligibility criteria.

This includes a minimum age cap of 16 years old, Indian nationality, and a Platinum V Tier (level 25 or above) rank by the time the competition starts. Each player can register only once as a part of a team.

Fans can catch every thrilling moment of The Grind on the Krafton India Esports YouTube channel starting on April 4th at 4 PM IST. Keep an eye on official Krafton channels for livestream information covering later stages of the BGIS 2024 tournament.

With the combination of a substantial prize pool, a national platform, and exciting format changes, BGIS 2024 is all set to deliver intense competition and showcase top-tier Battlegrounds Mobile India talent.
