Popular streaming platforms YouTube, Spotify, and Netflix will reportedly not make dedicated apps for Apple's upcoming $3,499 Vision Pro mixed reality headset.

YouTube, Spotify, Netflix will not offer official apps for Apple Vision Pro: Report

According to a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman, YouTube has no immediate plans to develop an app specifically tailored for the Vision Pro's operating system upon its launch.

Furthermore, the existing YouTube app for iPad will not be compatible with this new device.

This revelation comes at a time when users are eagerly anticipating the functionality and compatibility of their favorite applications with the Vision Pro.

Similarly, Spotify and Netflix have also disclosed their current stance regarding the Vision Pro operating system.

The popular services have stated that it does not intend to create a new app customized for the Vision Pro's operating system.

However, users can expect relief, as these services are to remain accessible through a web browser, ensuring continued access without the need for a dedicated app.

This news brings significant implications for users who are eager to embrace the Vision Pro and its capabilities.

As the device's release approaches, individuals will need to consider alternative methods of accessing their preferred multimedia platforms.

Apple Vision Pro Launch Date & Price

Apple's new headse is set to be released in the US on February 2, 2024. It will be available for purchase through Apple’s online and physical stores.

Pre-orders are scheduled to open on January 19, 2024, at 5AM PT (6:30PM IST). The 256GB model of the Vision Pro is priced at $3,499, approximately ₹2,90,680.

Additionally, Apple plans to launch the Vision Pro in other countries later in the year.
