Apple Pencil (USB-C) launched in India: Check price, features, and compatible iPad models

With the introduction of the Apple Pencil (USB-C), Apple has expanded its stylus lineup to offer a more affordable option for iPad users.

Apple has launched the third generation of its iPad stylus, called the Apple Pencil (USB-C).

Apple Pencil (USB-C) price in India

It is priced at ₹7,900, which makes it more affordable than both the first and second generation Apple Pencil models.

Apple Pencil (USB-C) specifications

The Apple Pencil (USB-C) comes equipped with a hidden USB-C port that allows for charging and wired connectivity. Users can conveniently charge their stylus by connecting it to their iPad with a cable.

Additionally, the pencil has a flat edge that enables it to magnetically attach to compatible iPad models with flat sides, creating a secure and easily accessible storage option.

Unlike its pricier counterpart, the Apple Pencil (2023) does not support wireless charging. Users will need to rely on the USB-C cable for charging and proper functioning of the stylus.

The Apple Pencil is designed to work seamlessly with several iPad models. It is compatible with the iPad Air (2020) and newer, iPad mini (2021), 11-inch and 12-inch iPad Pro (2018) and newer, as well as the recently released iPad (2022).

This broad compatibility ensures that users can enjoy the benefits of the Apple Pencil with their preferred iPad device.

While the Apple Pencil (USB-C) offers an affordable option, it does come with some trade-offs in terms of functionality. Notably, it lacks features such as pressure sensitivity and the ability to double-tap to change tools.

These features are available on the more expensive second-generation Apple Pencil, but not on this newer, budget-friendly version.

However, for users who don't require these advanced capabilities, the new Apple Pencil still provides a smooth and accurate writing and drawing experience.
