Android 15 Beta 2 brings new anti-theft features: Check all details

The Android 15 Beta 2 has been released, and it brings a powerful set of anti-theft features designed to keep your phone and your data secure.

Currently, only the compatible Google Pixel devices have access to this update.

AI Detects Snatching

Imagine your phone getting snatched from your hand. Thankfully, Android 15 can now use its built-in artificial intelligence to detect unusual movements like this.

If it senses a high risk of theft, the phone will automatically lock itself down, preventing thieves from accessing your data on the spot.

Factory Reset? Not So Fast

Thieves often try to wipe a stolen phone clean and resell it. But with Android 15, that's no longer easy.

Even if they manage to bypass the lock screen, they won't be able to reset the phone without your Google account credentials. This makes stealing your phone a lot less appealing and keeps your information safe.

Remote Lock for Lost Phones

Misplaced your phone? Android 15 lets you remotely lock your device using just your phone number and a security question.

This allows you to immediately secure your phone while you try to locate it.

"Find My Device" Gets an Upgrade

The popular "Find My Device" feature is still here, but with an important security boost.

Now, disabling this feature requires the user's screen lock credentials, making it much harder for thieves to turn off tracking. This increases your chances of getting your lost phone back.
