Mark Zuckerberg announces new WhatsApp group features: Check details

In a recent announcement made on Mark Zuckerburg’s Instagram broadcast channel, he unveiled two new features for WhatsApp.

In a recent announcement made on Mark Zuckerburg’s Instagram broadcast channel, he unveiled two new features for WhatsApp. The first feature aims to provide group admins with more control over who can join a group. With this update, admins will be able to view joining requests from users and choose whether to grant or deny access. This new feature is expected to ensure that only reliable individuals are allowed to join a group.

The second feature is the ability to easily identify the groups they have in common with a contact by searching for their name. This should come in handy in larger groups and communities, where it can be difficult to remember you are a part of.

According to a blog post by WhatsApp, these new features will be rolled out globally over the next few weeks.
