iOS 15.1 was recently pushed to compatible iPhones, and a fair few number of users have reported trouble on their devices. Some users have claimed that they've experienced lag in the interface, and others have spoken of issues with Bluetooth headsets, including the AirPods Pro. Moreover, some have reported that the 'Unlock with Apple Watch' feature is still causing trouble, despite having received a fix in the previous iOS 15.0.1 update. The feature, which is meant to unlock iPhones using a paired Apple Watch when the user is wearing a face mask, is at times unlocking devices even when the user is not wearing a mask. In some instances, users have reported their iPhone unlocking while placed in their pocket.

Meanwhile, a security researcher has claimed that iOS 15.1 includes two unpatched 'zero-day' weaknesses that have been known to the tech giant for several months. The vulnerabilities are said to allow apps like Facebook and TikTok to track and profile users, and give them access to sensitive data from users without their explicit consent.

iOS 15 was announced at Apple's WWDC event earlier this year, and was available for compatible devices from September 20. Headline features include SharePlay, which will let users watch content or listen to music together on a FaceTime call. FaceTime also gets spatial audio support, and the option to blur out the background. Focus mode is also a new addition, which lets users set different profiles to enable and disable apps and notifications according to their needs. The Messages app and notifications also get major updates.
