Indian Army looking to induct new tech along LAC

Indian Army plans to introduce a variety of drones for intelligence, reconnaissance, surveillance, and counter drones with varying soft and hard kill options.

Indian Army Chief General, Manoj Pande, recently stated that India intends to introduce several new technologies along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, including a variety of drones for intelligence, reconnaissance, surveillance, and counter drones with varying soft and hard kill options.

Furthermore, AI-based systems are being developed to improve picture interpretation, detect infiltration, and quantum computing. The Army is also interested in acquiring counter-drone technologies and swarm drones.

AI is being used to improve the interpretation of satellite photos, and such niche technologies can be introduced via a variety of channels, including iDEX and Make 2 projects.
