Over the past decade, Android has continuously modernised its brand to keep up with the evolving needs of its community.

Android has now revealed yet another rebrand that’s inspired by its Material Design. Its new visual identity harmoniously blends with Google's brand palette.

According to Android, the refreshed and dynamic Android robot represents the profound connections Android establishes with individuals, communities, and cultural moments.

Moreover, the new visual elements allow for self-expression, reflecting individual passions, personality, and context.

      Strengthening the Bond with Google

To better align with Google and promote the relationship between Android devices and Google apps and services, subtle changes have been made.

Android has moved away from the lowercase stylization of "android" and now capitalises the "A" in its logo.

Additionally, the new Android stylisation incorporates more curves and personality unique to the brand, creating balance and closer alignment with Google's logo.

The Reinvention of the Android Robot

As part of their brand update, Android has redesigned its iconic Android robot to possess a dynamic 3D look. The bugdroid, which has become a prominent symbol of the Android community, now exudes dimension and character.

As a visual representation of the brand, the updated robot's full-body appearance allows for seamless transitions between the digital and real-life environments, making it a versatile and reliable companion across different channels, platforms, and contexts.

      Embracing the Refreshed Brand Identity

Starting this year, users can expect to see the new elements of Android's brand identity, including the updated logo and the revamped 3D bugdroid, appearing on Android devices and various platforms.

Android claims that the fresh and dynamic identity showcases its growth, vibrancy, and spirit, reflecting its commitment to its ever-expanding global community.
