The Google Play Pass, a subscription that provides customers with free access to paid apps and games, has arrived in India.

The Google Play Pass, a subscription that provides customers with free access to paid apps and games, has arrived in India. The service was first launched in the US around two years ago.

Google Play Pass will be rolled out to Android users in India over this week.

Google Play Pass price in India

The Google Play Pass price in India has been set at ₹99 per month, or ₹899 per year. Customers can get a one-month trial one signing up for a subscription. A one-month prepaid subscription is also available for ₹109.

The Google Play Pass can be shared with up to five other family members in the Google family group.

Google Play Pass requires at least Android 4.4 and version 16.6.25 of the Play Store app.

Google Play Pass vs Apple Arcade

Google Play Pass takes on Apple Arcade, a similar offering from Apple that gives subscribers access to a suite of exclusive games.

The Google Play Pass catalogue includes over 1,000 titles, across 41 categories, from developers in 59 countries.

The Play Pass also currently includes 15 titles from Indian developers, including Jungle Adventures and World Cricket Battle 2.

Apple Arcade costs ₹99 per month in India. It also available as part of the Apple One subscription service, along with Apple Music, Apple TV+, and iCloud+, for ₹195 per month.

Apple Arcade contains over 200+ games so far. While the Google Play Pass gives free access to paid games and apps already available on the Play Store, Apple Arcade has many exclusive titles which are only available to play for subscribers.
