At CES 2024, Samsung presented AI-centric innovations: Neo QLED 8K TVs, smart home appliances, Galaxy Book4, and automotive technologies, emphasizing security and sustainability.

CES 2024: Samsung unveils "AI for All" Vision; From accessible appliances to connected cars

At the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Samsung Electronics presented its blueprint for a future in which artificial intelligence (AI) is intricately woven into the fabric of everyday life. This vision aims to offer more natural and efficient interactions between users and their devices.

Advancements in Home Entertainment: Neo QLED 8K TVs and More

A key highlight was the Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs, equipped with the NQ8 AI Gen 3 processor. This technology not only upscales content to 8K resolution but also incorporates advanced features like Motion Enhancer Pro and Active Voice Amplifier Pro.

The 2024 lineup of Samsung TVs also includes enhanced accessibility options, such as gesture-based sign language and audio subtitles.


Samsung introduced The Premiere 8K, a state-of-the-art wireless projector, alongside the Music Frame. This innovative speaker, doubling as a picture frame, is designed to synchronize seamlessly with Samsung TVs and soundbars.

Moreover, Ballie, Samsung’s rolling AI robot, received notable updates, offering interactive capabilities with other smart devices and the ability to project images and videos.

Kitchen and Home Appliances: Bespoke Innovations

The Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+ was unveiled, featuring AI Vision Inside for intelligent food recognition and recipe suggestions. The Anyplace Induction range and Bespoke AI Laundry Combo underscore the integration of AI in household appliances, enhancing the overall user experience.

The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, an AI-powered vacuum and mop robot, showcased its advanced object recognition and adaptive floor type adjustment capabilities.

Seamless Connectivity: Galaxy Book4 Series and SmartThings

In collaboration with Microsoft, the Galaxy Book4 series boasts seamless connectivity and AI-enhanced features, including Microsoft Copilot for smartphone integration and remote camera control.

This series is compatible with other Galaxy devices like the Tab S9 Ultra and Galaxy Buds2 Pro, providing a unified user experience.

SmartThings: Samsung’s smart home technology, SmartThings, was highlighted for its spatial AI capabilities, enhancing interactions between devices and users. Features like digital floor plans via LiDAR, 3D Map View, and comprehensive connectivity options for various Samsung devices were showcased.

Automotive Innovations: Collaboration with Hyundai and HARMAN

In the automotive sector, Samsung's partnership with Hyundai Motor Group introduces Home-to-Car and Car-to-Home services via SmartThings. Additionally, the collaboration with HARMAN brings forward technologies like Ready Care, Ready Vision, and Ready Upgrade, enriching the driving experience.

Security, Privacy, and Sustainability

Samsung stressed the importance of security and privacy, with solutions like Samsung Knox Matrix and Knox Vault ensuring data protection across devices. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in their circular economy approach, emphasizing the use of recycled materials and the availability of refurbished products.

AI in Energy Management and Accessibility

The role of AI in energy management was discussed, with the SmartThings AI Energy Mode optimizing energy consumption. Samsung's collaboration with Tesla integrates SmartThings Energy with Tesla products for better energy management and power outage preparedness.

Samsung's dedication to accessibility was evident in features like hands-free gesture control for digital appliances, auto-generated captions for mobile devices, and AI-enabled text-to-speech for TVs and displays.

The introduction of Relumino Together, a new viewing mode on Samsung TVs, caters to users with diverse visual abilities, promoting inclusive home entertainment.
