These apps trick users by asking for payment for a product that is typically free. An app named "ChatGPT Chat GPT AI with GPT-3" was downloaded tens of thousands of times before it was removed from the Play Store. This app also required payment of $49.99 for ad-free usage. As there is currently no official app for ChatGPT, it is important to be careful when downloading apps claiming to be based on the chatbot.
