Apple resumes advertising on Twitter after brief misunderstanding with Elon Musk

After a brief misunderstanding with Twitter's new owner, Elon Musk, Apple has resumed advertising on Twitter.

On Sunday, Musk confirmed this news at a Spaces session. Musk said last week that Apple opposes free speech and that the business had ceased advertising on the site. He also said that the company might remove Twitter from the Apple App Store.

However, days following his charges, Musk met with Apple's CEO Tim Cook and indicated that the concerns had been handled.

Apple is reportedly one of the most prominent advertisers on Twitter. The iPhone manufacturer was the top advertiser in the first quarter of 2022. After Musk's official takeover in October, Apple spent around $131,600 between November 10 and 16 on Twitter advertisements, a decrease from the $220,800 spent between October 16 and 22.

Apple stopped advertising on Twitter because it didn't want its ads to show up next to controversial or sensitive comments. Musk plans to change Twitter in order to protect "free speech."

Apple is not the only firm to have discontinued Twitter advertising. Last month, many vehicle manufacturers, including Audi and General Motors, also did the same.
