Apple has launched new MacBook Pro models at its October 18 ‘Unleashed’ event. The laptops are available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, and are powered by the new M1 Max and M1 Pro chipsets.

The new Apple Silicon chips are much more powerful than the Apple M1, with the M1 Pro featuring an up to 10-core CPU and up to 16-core GPU coupled with up to 32GB RAM. The M1 Max, meanwhile, takes that further to a 32-core GPU, and up to 64GB RAM. Both laptops also come with up to 8TB storage.

Both laptops get a Liquid Retina XDR display with Mini-LED technology, and benefit from ProMotion high refresh rates up to 120Hz. The display area in both laptops extends to the edge on all sides, apart from an iPhone-style notch in the top bezel that houses the new 1080p webcam.
