Among Us to launch on Xbox, PlayStation on December 14, along with Xbox Game Pass

Popular online game Among Us is coming to Xbox and PlayStation on December 14. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass, apart from being available to purchase on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4 and PS5 consoles.

While the game will support cross-play and online multiplayer across mobile, PC and consoles, PlayStation players will get access to the exclusive Ratched and Clank-themed cosmetics.

Among Us shot up in popularity in the early stages of the pandemic, and became the most downloaded mobile game for 2020. The game reached 2 million active players on PC after being made free on the Epic Games store in June earlier this year.

Developer InnerSloth launched the game in 2018, but it gained popularity only due to lockdowns amid the coronavirus-induced pandemic last year. The game has also been gradually improved ever since it shot to fame, with plans of a hide-and-seek mode, visor cosmetics and a fifth map being revealed earlier this year.

Reports say that physical editions of the game will also be launched in Europe on December 14, and in January for customers in the US.
