Striking Design Enhancements

Drawing inspiration from the Curvv SUV concept, the facelifted Tata Nexon EV showcases a sharper and more modern design.

The front fascia features sleek daytime running lights that span the bonnet, split LED headlights, a closed grille, and wheel air curtains positioned on the lower side of the bumper.

Maintaining its distinctive profile, the Nexon EV facelift introduces newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, shared with the internal combustion engine (ICE) variant.

These wheels offer enhanced aerodynamic efficiency, contributing to improved performance and fuel economy.

New and Connected Interior

Stepping into the 2023 Nexon EV facelift, occupants are greeted with an interior that represents a significant departure from previous iterations.

The dashboard features a clean and minimalist design, complemented by a range of screens, touch-sensitive panels, and displays. The two-spoke steering wheel design adds a contemporary touch, while upholstery themes vary based on the chosen variant.

Integrating advanced technology, the facelifted Nexon EV incorporates touch-sensitive HVAC controls beneath the central air conditioning vents. However, the temperature and fan speed controls retain physical knobs for ease of use.

Astonishing Features and Safety Enhancements

Known for its feature-rich offerings, Tata has taken the Nexon EV to a whole new level with an extensive suite of features.

Highlighting this is the largest-ever 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which includes an arcade mode for downloading games and streaming services usable while the vehicle is charging.

Additionally, the facelifted Nexon EV offers a new 10.25-inch fully digital driver's display, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system with a subwoofer.

Other notable features include a sunroof, connected car technology, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability that allows the Nexon EV to function as a portable power bank, and vehicle-to-vehicle charging compatibility.

In terms of safety, the facelifted Nexon EV comes standard with six airbags, including features such as ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, blind-spot monitoring, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

These enhancements enhance occupant safety and provide peace of mind to consumers.

2023 Tata Nexon EV Facelift Power, Range

Tata has made noticeable improvements to the powertrain of the Nexon EV facelift, incorporating a Gen-2 permanent magnet synchronous AC motor that is 20kg lighter, resulting in enhanced overall efficiency.

The medium-range version is equipped with a 30kWh battery paired with a 129PS motor, while the long-range variant features a 40.5kWh battery coupled with a 143PS motor.

These powertrain upgrades contribute to a slight increase in claimed range, now reaching up to 325km for the medium-range version and 465km for the long-range variant, as per ARAI standards.

Furthermore, Tata plans to open EV-specific dealerships in a phased manner, exclusively catering to its electric vehicle lineup.

This focused approach will provide customers with dedicated sales and service support for their electric vehicles, contributing to a seamless ownership experience.
