<p>In 2020, he released the album &ldquo;Ordinary Man,&rdquo; which had as its title song a duet with Elton John. &ldquo;I've been a bad guy, been higher than the blue sky/And the truth is I don't wanna die an ordinary man,&rdquo; he sang. <p>At the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2024, Jack Black called him &ldquo;greatest frontman in the history of rock and roll&rdquo; and &ldquo;the Jack Nicholson of rock.&rdquo; Osbourne thanked his fans, his guitarist Randy Rhoads and his longtime wife, Sharon.</p>
<p>John Michael Osbourne was raised in the gritty city of Birmingham, England. Kids in school nicknamed him Ozzy, short for his surname. As a boy, he loved the Four Seasons, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. The Beatles made a huge impression.</p>
<p>&ldquo;They came from Liverpool, which was approximately 60 miles north of where I come from,&rdquo; he told Billboard. &ldquo;So all of a sudden it was in my grasp, but I never thought it would be as successful as it became.&rdquo; In the late 1960s, Osbourne had teamed up with Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi and drummer Bill Ward as the Polka Tulk Blues Band. They decided to rename the band Earth, but found to their dismay there was another band with that name. So they changed the name to the American title of the classic Italian horror movie &ldquo;I Tre Volti Della Paura,&rdquo; starring Boris Karloff: Black Sabbath.</p>
<p>Once they found their sludgy, ominous groove, the band was productive, putting out their self-titled debut and &ldquo;Paranoid&rdquo; in 1970, &ldquo;Master of Reality&rdquo; in 1971, &ldquo;Vol. 4&rdquo; in 1972 and &ldquo;Sabbath Bloody Sabbath&rdquo; in 1973.</p>
<p>The music was all about industrial guitar riffs and disorienting changes in time signatures, along with lyrics that spoke of alienation and doom. &ldquo;People think I'm insane because I am frowning all the time,&rdquo; Osbourne sang in one song. &ldquo;All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy/Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify.&rdquo; The Guardian newspaper in 2009 said the band &ldquo;introduced working-class anger, stoner sludge grooves and witchy horror-rock to flower power. Black Sabbath confronted the empty platitudes of the 1960s and, along with Altamont and Charles Manson, almost certainly helped kill off the hippy counterculture.&rdquo; After Sabbath, Osbourne had an uncanny knack for calling some of the most creative young guitarists to his side. When he went solo, he hired the brilliant innovator Rhoads, who played on two of Osbourne's finest solo albums, &ldquo;Blizzard of Ozz&rdquo; and &ldquo;Diary of a Madman.&rdquo; Rhoads was killed in a freak plane accident in 1982; Osbourne released the live album &ldquo;Tribute&rdquo; in 1987 in his memory.</p>
<p>Osbourne then signed Jake E. Lee, who lent his talents to the platinum albums &ldquo;Bark at the Moon&rdquo; and &ldquo;The Ultimate Sin.&rdquo; Hotshot Zakk Wylde joined Osbourne's band for &ldquo;No Rest for the Wicked&rdquo; and the multiplatinum &ldquo;No More Tears.&rdquo; &ldquo;They come along, they sprout wings, they blossom, and they fly off,&rdquo; Osbourne said of his players in 1995 to The Associated Press. &ldquo;But I have to move on. To get a new player now and again boosts me on.&rdquo; Whomever he was playing with, Osbourne wasn't likely to back down from controversy. He had the last laugh when the TV evangelist the Rev. Jimmy Swaggart in 1986 lambasted various rock groups and rock magazines as &ldquo;the new pornography,&rdquo; prompting some retailers to pull Osbourne's album.</p>

<p>The 75-year-old actor-director posted an insightful message alongside a photograph from his hospital stay, reassuring fans that he is now back home and has fully recovered. "This week has been truly eye opening," Roshan stated, reflecting on his experience. "During a routine full body check-up, the doctor conducting the heart sonography suggested I also undergo one for my neck. By chance, we discovered that although asymptomatic, both my carotid arteries to the brain were dangerously blocked," he wrote on Instagram.</p>
<p>Roshan emphasized the severity of the condition if left unchecked, describing it as potentially very dangerous. "I immediately admitted myself to the hospital and underwent the necessary preventative procedures. I am now home, fully recovered, and I look forward to resuming my workouts soon," he added, hoping to motivate others to prioritize their health, especially concerning the heart and brain.</p>

<p>Mohit Suri's romantic drama "Saiyaara", featuring debutant Ahaan Pandey and actor Aneet Padda, grossed Rs 119 crore in the first three days, the makers said.</p>
<p>The movie, which marks Pandey's big screen debut and a critically-praised turn for Padda, who previously featured in "Big Girls Don't Cry" and Kajol-starrer "Salaam Venky", earned Rs 101.75 (gross) and Rs 84 crore (nett) in India and brought in Rs 17.25 crore from international markets.</p>
<p>Helmed by Mohit Suri of "Ek Villain" and "Aashiqui 2" fame, the movie is produced by Yash Raj Films. Social media is filled with fans reacting strongly to the love story with many crying as the credits roll and some dancing to its songs with their friends.</p>
<p>The film's impressive three-day run at the box office has beat lifetime collection of other debuts of star kids like Alia Bhatt's "Student of the Year" and Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar's "Dhadak", which earned Rs 70 crore and Rs 73 crore (lifetime). Pandey is Chunky Pandey's nephew.</p>
<p>"Saiyaara" follows Krish, played by Pandey, an ambitious musician, and Vaani, played by Padda, a shy lyricist recovering from heartbreak. <p>It is also Suri's highest opening among his other films -- "Ek Villain" earned Rs 16 crore on day one, "Aashiqui 2" made over Rs 6 crore and "Murder 2" earned almost 7 crore on the first day of their release. The film is the first and only romance movie to gross over Rs 100 crore in its opening weekend.</p>
<p>The film is among the highest grossing opening weekend alongside films like Vicky Kaushal's "Chhava" (Rs 122.43 crore), Salman Khan's "Sikandar" (Rs 90.25 crore) and Akshay Kumar's ensemble comedy "Housefull 5" (Rs 91.83 crore).</p>
<p>Yash Raj Films have requested exhibitors to not hike ticket prices in order to keep them accessible for the youth supporting the film.</p>
<p>The production house has kept both Pandey and Padda away from the promotions of the film.</p>
<p>The music of "Saiyaara", which features seven songs composed by Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nisami, is already a chartbuster.</p>

<p>"We&rsquo;re utilizing that not just to round out the stories we&rsquo;ve been telling post-&lsquo;Endgame (2019),&rsquo; just as importantly &mdash; and you can look at the &lsquo;Secret Wars&rsquo; comics for where that takes you &mdash; it very, very much sets us up for the future. &lsquo;Endgame,&rsquo; literally, was about endings. &lsquo;Secret Wars&rsquo; is about beginnings," he told reporters, according to Variety.</p>
<p>Feige said the MCU&rsquo;s first X-Men movie, to be directed by "Thunderbolts" director Jake Schreier, will be a &ldquo;reset,&rdquo; not a &ldquo;reboot&rdquo; of the MCU.</p>

Downey Jr's Tony Stark aka Iron Man dies at the end of "Avengers: Endgame" while Captain America chose retirement.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I think it&rsquo;s hard for anybody to do that when an actor has done such a great role,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;How are they going to ever replace Sean Connery (as James Bond), right," he added.</p>

<p>The &ldquo;SexyBack&rdquo; singer, who described himself as a private person, wrote he considered ending the tour when diagnosed, but wrote that he &ldquo;decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. <p>Nostalgia is in the air with Smriti Irani's Tulsi Virani back on the small screen to unravel the Virani family saga, the "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" reboot promising a familiar story rooted in tradition 25 years after it sparked a daily soap trend.</p>
<p>The show, which began airing on Star Plus and JioHotstar on Tuesday night, is remembered for bringing families together in front of the television as they breathlessly watched the goings-on in the affluent joint family.</p>
<p>The first episode focuses on the 38th wedding anniversary of the main protagonists, Mihir and Tulsi. The ideal daughter-in-law is now at the helm of affairs in the Virani family mansion Shanti Niketan and the story opens with her praying to a tulsi plant and reciting the Gayatri Mantra.</p>
<p>The tone is set -- apparently not very different from 2000 when the Ekta Kapoor show first began airing. It went on for 1,800 more episodes right up to 2008.</p>
<p>Two main characters have died -- Ba and Savita Virani are now pictures on the wall and Tulsi is seen reminiscing about the days gone by and speaking to them. Several old-timers made sure to tune into the show, which created a buzz with BJP leader Smriti Irani returning to acting after a long hiatus.</p>
<p>"When I was a child, my mother used to watch the serial... She would watch it everyday. This time also, I watched the first episode and I liked it a lot," a young woman, then just a child, told PTI in Amethi, Irani's former constituency.</p>
<p>In Amethi, where Irani enjoys immense popularity both as a public figure and a performer, residents gathered in groups to watch the premiere episode together.</p>
<p>Many on social media also remembered fondly the time they spent as children and with their family to watch the many upheavals in the Virani family for eight years and various time leaps. Now that the show has returned with an actual time leap, nostalgia has driven them back.</p>
<p>"No words can describe the feeling. It&rsquo;s pure nostalgia. So many real life memories associated with &lsquo;Kyunki&rsquo;. That golden era of television is back #kyunkisaasbhikabhibahuthi #tulsiisback," wrote a fan.</p>
<p>A fan wrote how she used to watch the show with her maternal grandmother, who is no longer alive.</p>
<p>"Kyunki is back&hellip; but the one I used to watch it with isn&rsquo;t. it was me &amp; Nani. Now it&rsquo;s just me&hellip; and her memories #Nostalgic," she shared.</p>
<p>Actor Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan, who played a married couple on the original show, are also back as Karan and Nandini.</p>
<p>"Evergreen Karan and Nandini... Ahhhh... Still they look so beautiful together. Karan n Tulsi bond used to be so precious," said a viewer.</p>
<p>"Currently watching 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and lowkey vibing to the OG soap opera that raised a generation," wrote another social media user.</p>
<p>A lot has changed since "Kyunki..." released all those years ago. OTT has revolutionised the entertainment scene with the best of shows from India and abroad available to audiences at the click of a button.</p>
<p>It remains to be seen whether "Kyunki..." manages to grab the attention of younger and newer audiences used to slicker, more contemporary shows and bring back those who tuned in all those years ago.</p>
<p>The "Kyunki..." setting 25 years on remains much the same. Matriarch Tulsi is busy looking after the arrangements for a big party when Mihir surprises her by gifting a car. The show ends with a hint of fresh challenges coming Tulsi's way. There are a few concessions to today's age with references to social media and late night parties.</p>
<p>Will that be enough? "Kyunki..." achieved cult status in daily soaps and became a pop culture moment that was popularly referenced by Karan Johar in "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" where Kajol's character is excitedly discussing developments in the show with a neighbour.</p>
<p>Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's popular 2012 gangster drama "Gangs of Wasseypur 1" literally opens with the show's opening montage where Tulsi is inviting viewers to the family drama as a group of people are watching the show in rapt attention but the calm and the TV set is broken by bullets.</p>
<p>Many past favourites "Kasauti Zindagi Ki", "Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai" and "Khichdi" made a comeback but with not much success.</p>
<p>The makers of "Kyunki..." hope to change that.</p>
