ICC T20 World Cup 2022: England full schedule, match results, timings, squad and streaming updates

The ODI Champions of the World, England, are one of the favourites to lift the coveted T20 World Cup title in Australia. Having won the 50-over World Cup as hosts back in 2019, the Three Lions will become the first side to hold both the limited-overs World Cups if they manage to win the trophy Down Under.

Having last won the T20 World Cup back in 2010, England will be hoping to recreate the magic at the marquee event. They have got a new leader in Jos Buttler, who had a rocky start to his full-time captaincy career but their recent series wins against Pakistan & Australia show they are heading in the right direction. Buttler's personal form also has been incredible and the Three Lions will be hoping he can continue to lead them the front on the big stage.

England are placed in Group 1 alongside Afghanistan, Australia, and New Zealand. They will be joined by two other teams from the qualifiers in what will be an exciting Super 12 group stage to watch.

England's strength inevitably lies in their star-studded batting lineup. Bowlers will find it very intimidating when they are running in to bowl to the likes of Buttler, Hales, Malan, Stokes, Brook, Ali & Livingstone.

England's bowling attack has fared well in recent times, highlighted by their performances in the recent T20 series against rivals Australia. Bowlers David Willey, Chris Woakes, Sam Curran and Mark Wood have all impressed with Curran standing out as the top wicket-taker with 5 scalps in 2 matches while Woakes, Wood and Topley managed to snaffle 3 wickets each.

England will expect Jos Buttler to be their star performer once again, in his first major tournament as captain.
