Alejandro Davidovich Fokina of Spain upsets world no.1 Novak Djokovic in Monte-Carlo masters on Tuesday.

The 20-time Grand slam champion and World No.1 Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the Monte-Carlo Masters in the second round after facing a defeat against the World No.46 Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Tuesday.

Djokovic lost the first set but fought back to win the second. However, it wasn't enough as the Spaniard easily took the third set. In the three-hour match, Djokovic was beaten 3-6, 6-7, 1-6.

This was for the first time in almost two months that the Serb played in a tournament. He received a bye in the first round. Djokovic would be aiming to make a comeback at Serbia Open next week.
