Asian Games 2023 Medal Tally on Oct 3: India 4th in standings after day 10 at Hangzhou 2022

India ended the tenth day of the Asian Games with 9 new medals, including 2 golds, taking the total tally to 69.

The country's athletes bagged a whopping 6 medals in different events.

Canoe sprinters Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh opened India's account in the morning with a bronze Men's Canoe Double 1000 Final.

It was followed by Vithya Ramraj's bronze in Women's 400m Hurdles and after that the medals just didn't stop coming.

28-year-old Parul Chaudhary won a historic gold in Women's 5000m Race just a day after finishing 2nd in the Women's 3000m Steeplechase.

A close-quarters race saw Mohd Afsal finish 2nd in the Men's 800m Race while Praveen Chithravel bagged a bronze after finishing ahead of compatriot Abdulla Aboobacker in the Men's Triple Jump.

After a two-day long event, India's Tejaswin Shankar emerged victorious when he won the silver medal in the Men's Decathlon.

And the cherry on top for India's Track and Field team was Javelin Thrower Annu Rani's Gold.

Meanwhile, boxer Narender Berwal settled for bronze after losing his bout against world championship medallist Kamshybek Kunkabayev of Kazakhstan.
