Nitish Kumar Reddy was the happiest kid on the block when veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar pulled off an unthinkable win vs Rajasthan Royals on the last ball of the game on Thursday.

Needing two runs off Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s last ball, Rovman Powell (27) missed out a full toss and was out leg before wicket as Rajasthan finished on 200-7 for only their second defeat of the season.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, an elated Reddy explained the feeling of being on the winning side, 'It's so important, actually, like, back to back we lost two matches and coming here beating, Rajasthan Royals like, they're in first position. Everyone knows. So that will boost us actually.'

He added, 'Even if we lost, we would be happy because, we played against a good side, and we got to the last ball. So it's like we are happy. We are on winning side.'

Reddy was elated when he saw that it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who would bowl the last over stating that seeing 'Bhuvi bhai' gave him confidence.

'I somehow got the confidence, like, he's going to pull this match. You guys can see, like, before, when he was in his prime time. He used to do this, pulling up these matches,' the youngster said.

But he wasn't sure SRH would really win, 'I thought it's going to draw or either they are going to win. But I didn't expect it at the last ball. That was so happy. I feel so happy.'

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 3-wicket haul, however, was not the only thing that powered SRH to victory.

Earlier, Reddy registered his best batting figures ever in T20 cricket when he scored an unbeaten 76 off 42 balls, partnering with Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen to put up 201 runs on the board for the hosts.
