Ricky Ponting admitted to feeling “embarrassed” by Delhi Capitals performance after their crushing 106 run IPL defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Ponting said, 'It's pretty hard to assess right now. I mean, I was almost embarrassed with our first half of the game today. You know, to concede that many runs. I think we bowled 17 wides.'

He hinted at some major discussions that will take place following the heavy defeat, 'So, there are a lot of things that happened today, in this game that, that are unacceptable. And there's a lot of things that we'll talk about as a group tonight that we have to fix immediately or, to go forward in this tournament. So there'll be some good open discussion in the changing room tonight for sure.'

Kolkata hit 272-7 - the second-highest total in Indian Premier League history - as they thrashed Delhi Capitals.
