Number of reviews to Covid-19 rules: All you need to know about the new IPL 2022 playing conditions

Ahead of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League, BCCI has made a few changes in the playing conditions of IPL 2022, starting March 26.

BCCI has increased the number of unsuccessful reviews to two per innings. While, if a batter has crossed or not at the point of a catch is taken, then the incoming batter will be on strike, except the dismissal that occurred on the last ball, is the other notable change in the IPL playing conditions.

Notably, MCC has changed the law of batter crossing each other at the time of catch taken earlier this month. The new rule in International cricket will come into effect from October but BCCI has decided to enforce the law straight away.

Meanwhile, if a team is failed to field Playing XI due to the Covid-19 outbreak, then BCCI will attempt to reschedule the match.

Earlier, the rescheduling of a match was not in IPL rules and if the franchise was unable to field a team then the game was awarded to the opponent.
