IPL 2024 Points Table: MI surge upwards after thrashing RCB by 7 wickets

This improvement in NRR has allowed them to overtake the Punjab Kings, who are now below MI due to their inferior NRR of -0.196.

On the other hand, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to struggle this season, having succumbed to their fifth loss in six games. Led by Faf du Plessis, the Bengaluru team could not muster the necessary performance to challenge Mumbai, thereby remaining in 9th place on the points table with an NRR of -1.124. This ongoing poor form has left RCB unable to break their downward trajectory in the league.

Mumbai Indians' batters were in formidable form, easily handling the target of 197 set by RCB.
