IPL 2024 points table: Gujarat Titans make big strides to 8th spot with easy win over Chennai

Gujarat Titans returned to winning ways with a 35-run victory over the struggling Chennai in Ahmedabad on Friday to remain in playoffs contention.

Gill & Co. rose to the 8th position after defeating CSK.

With each passing day, the race to the top-4 gets tighter but it appears the bottom-rung teams are not going down without a fight.

Two teams have been eliminated from the 2024 season but eight teams remain in the fray.

As the league-stage nears its end, Delhi and Lucknow will prove a tough bunch for 4th placed CSK for the final spot.

RCB and GT with their recent wins have made a statement to not count them out, just yet.

Meanwhile, Lucknow are in a precarious position and elimination won't be too far if their poor form continues, coupled with the RCB-GT resurgence.
