IPL 2022 points table after Punjab vs Gujarat match on May 3; orange cap, purple cap holders

Gujarat Titans remain at the top spot of the IPL points table despite their 8-wicket loss against Punjab Kings. It was the 2nd loss of the season for the Hardik Pandya-led side. However, their opponents Punjab Kings leapfrogged to the 5th position from 8th after the mighty win.

Following Gujarat Titans are Lucknow Super Giants on the 2nd spot on the IPL points table with 7 wins from 10 games.

Jos Buttler who could only score 22 runs against Kolkata continues to be the leading run-scorer in IPL 2022 with 588 runs in 10 games and currently holding the orange cap. Rajasthan's Yuzvendra Chahal is currently holding the purple cap with 19 wickets in 9 matches.
