IPL 2022: Hoping fans will be allowed in stadiums, says Maharashtra sports minister

As the Covid-19 cases are declining in the country, Maharashtra sports minister Sunil Kedar is hopeful that crowds will be allowed in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022).

All the IPL league games will be played across four venues in Maharashtra.

While talking to the media, Sunil Kedar said that the government is hoping that when IPL matches take place, the atmosphere will be such that spectators are allowed in the stadiums, which could boost the players' confidence.

Maharashtra Sports Minister further added that the government will chalk out a plan with BCCI about bio-bubbles and restrictions as per international rules.

The league phase consists of 70 matches that will be hosted by Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium and MCA Stadium.
