IPL 2022, Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR), Qualifier 1 Preview: The debutants who emerged as the most successful IPL team of the 2022 season, Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the fight for a direct berth for the IPL finals in Qualifier 1 at the Eden Gardens stadium on Tuesday. While the winner will reach the finals, the loser will get another chance in the Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2022

When his team won 5 back to back matches, Hardik Pandya had said, ‘I fear that the team might lose on the luck in the playoffs’.

Their grit would be on display when they take on Rajasthan Royals for the 2nd time this season. The new team who have had a thumping first season have only lost 4 out of their 14 games, including their last league game against RCB. On the back of 10 victories, Hardik’s side became the first team to qualify for the playoffs this season. The fearful bowling lineup consisting of Lockie Ferguson, Mohd Shami and Rashid Khan and determined lower middle order could prove to be Rajasthan’s nemesis in the run to finals.

Their opponents, Rajasthan Royals who had won the inaugural season of IPL, are coming from 2 back to back wins and would now look to further build on their momentum. For the Royals, everything has turned out well. The formidable team has an in-form top-order, fearful bowling unit and power hitters who have on various occasions won the matches for them. Both the Purple and Orange Cap belongs to the Sanju Samson-led side, with Jos Buttler being the highest run-getter of the season so far and Yuzvendra Chahal with maximum wickets.

Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) Head to Head

The 2 sides have only met once in the 15th edition of IPL 2022 and in their first meeting, GT dominated with a good 37-run win over the Sanju Samson-led side.
